Privacy policy · version 1.5 · 21 August 2026 · for DiBills 1.0.0
Your bill data never reaches us.
The bills, amounts, payments, categories and settings you enter into DiBills are not transmitted to ARCTIC MAG S.R.L. and are not stored on our servers. The app has no user account and no server for your data to be uploaded to. The only connection it opens is to the store you installed it from, for the subscription, and not one of your bills or amounts goes through it. The rest of this page says the same thing in detail, situation by situation.
ARCTIC MAG S.R.L., VAT ID RO48130587, Trade Register J2023003030232, registered at Str. Popasului nr. 78, bl. A, sc. 1, et. 2, ap. 9, Voluntari, Ilfov county, Romania. Write to contact@dimiol.com.
In a single file, in the app's own storage area on your phone:
I do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any payment method. What you type into a bill's name, you type for yourself, and it stays with you.
Of your bill data, nothing. The app has no server, contains no code written by us that sends anything elsewhere, and we have added no modules for measurement, tracking, advertising or automatic updates. Everything it does with your bills, it does offline: you can add, pay, tick and read them with the phone in airplane mode.
One thing happens on its own, and it has nothing to do with your bills: the app asks the store (Google Play or the App Store) whether the subscription is paid and what it costs, at start-up and when you bring it back to the front. The store learns that the app was opened; what you wrote in it goes nowhere.
There are three ways something can leave, and you start all three:
DiBills is paid for monthly, and payment and subscription processing are handled by Google Play or the App Store, depending on your phone. DiBills does not receive or store your card details, your billing address or your purchase history. The store may make purchase information available to ARCTIC MAG S.R.L.: transaction or order identifiers, subscription status, country, amount paid and, in the Google Play Console, the email address used for the purchase. We use it only to administer purchases, refunds and our accounting obligations, on the basis of performing the contract and of our legal obligations, we keep it for as long as those require, and we do not link it to the content in the app, which we cannot see in any case.
For the subscription to work, the app talks to the store on your phone. It asks exactly two things:
Through that connection nothing you wrote is sent: not the names of your bills, not the amounts, not the payments, not the categories. To make a payment work, the store uses its own technical identifiers and transaction information, under its own rules. The store knows you anyway, because you are signed in to it on the phone, as you are for every other app installed from there.
The store's answer ("paid" or "not") is kept on the phone, next to the other settings, so the app knows what it may do before it gets to ask again. It is kept nowhere else.
The free trial is given and counted by the store, on your account, not by me on your phone. The subscription is cancelled from your store account, not from the app, because the money is with them. When it ends, nothing is deleted: the app stays readable, and the backup can be exported at any time, free.
Store policies: Google, Apple.
This is the one place your data reaches somewhere else without a deliberate act, so it is only fair to state it plainly: if you have your phone's backup switched on (iCloud on Apple, Google on Android), the app's file is included in it, like any other app's. Apple's or Google's policy applies there, not mine, and I still have no access to it. You can turn it off in your phone's settings.
On Android it is explicitly declared what goes into the backup: only the file with your bills. The cache holding the backup files created for sharing stays out.
Summaries are scheduled locally, by the app, on your phone. Their text ("Digi 60,00 lei, today") is written there, from your own bills, and passes through no server. These are not push notifications sent from a distance. If you switch the schedule off in Settings, the ones already scheduled are cancelled.
The Android version declares the "internet" permission. It is not a formality: the app talks to the store through it, for the subscription. We have added nothing that would use it for any other purpose: there is no server of ours to go to. We checked this in the merged manifest of the built app rather than assuming it: the permission is required by the libraries the app is made of, among them the billing one and the one that writes the backup file, so it cannot be removed.
Your message arrives at contact@dimiol.com, hosted by Zoho Corporation in their European Union data centre. I keep the correspondence for as long as it takes to answer you and to track reported problems, then delete it. What you put in the message is up to you.
From Settings → Delete all data, or by deleting the app from your phone. Either way the data goes with it. No copy of the content from DiBills remains with us, because it was never transmitted to us.
⚠️ If your phone's backup is switched on, a version of the data may remain there until the backup is replaced. That is cleared from your phone's settings, not from the app.
Under the European regulation (GDPR) you have the right to ask a controller what data it holds about you, to correct it, delete it, move it, or object to its processing.
As for the data you enter into DiBills, ARCTIC MAG S.R.L. holds no copy of it and cannot access, correct or delete it: your data is on your phone, and you move it yourself with the backup file in Settings, without asking us. For the data you provide to us directly, that is support messages and the purchase information received from the store, you can exercise the rights above by writing to the same address.
If you believe something is wrong, you may complain to the Romanian data protection authority (dataprotection.ro) or to the supervisory authority in your own country.
DiBills is not intended for children. The app does not ask for your age, and the bills and other information you enter are stored only locally and are not transmitted to us.
If anything changes, I raise the version and date at the top, and this page always carries the version in force. A change that made the app send anything off your phone would be stated in the app as well, not only here.
Version 1.5 (21 August 2026): the statements about the network were moved from what the app does to what we put into it: it contains no code written by us that sends anything elsewhere, and we added no modules for measurement, tracking, advertising or automatic updates. The app's behaviour did not change.
Version 1.4 (21 August 2026): after a legal review, several statements were narrowed to what can actually be held to: the promise now covers your bill data rather than "all data"; the purchase information the stores can make available is described plainly; the store's legal role is no longer asserted; and the sections on refunds, cancellation, price changes and children were reworded. Your data stayed where it was.
Version 1.3 (18 August 2026): the sentence about third-party code was widened, for the second time on the same line: not only the store's code is third-party, so are the technical libraries the app is built on (React Native, Expo, SQLite). They run only on the phone; nothing else changed.
Version 1.2 (18 August 2026): three sentences were brought back to the truth after an audit: the app does ask the store about the subscription (so not "never makes a network request"), it does contain third-party code, the store's (so not "no third-party code"), and the phone's own backup is now described with rules I wrote rather than the platform defaults. Your data stayed where it was.
Version 1.1 (17 August 2026): the monthly subscription arrived, so a chapter about payment was added and the one connection the app opens, the one to the store, is now stated plainly. Nothing about your data changed.
